Notebook / Short-form

Small observations, kept close.

Compact references and working notes. These are starting points for future updates, not claims about a particular project result.

DSP / Mental model

NOTE_001

An FIR filter as a weighted memory

An FIR output is a finite weighted sum of current and past input samples: y[n] = Σ h[k]x[n−k]. The coefficient sequence describes the impulse response; its length sets how much input history contributes.

Digital design / Workflow

NOTE_002

Make interfaces explicit

For a hardware block, write down clocking, reset behavior, valid/ready rules, widths, and latency before implementation. A short interface contract makes simulation and integration easier to reason about.

EDA / Reproducibility

NOTE_003

Record the conditions around a result

A design result is easier to interpret when its inputs are recorded: source revision, tool versions, constraints, configuration, and the command used. This is useful context for a comparison, even before any optimization is claimed.
